What you need to do before sending freight to Northern Ireland
To help you send pallets across the water to Northern Ireland, you must now meet specific requirements to avoid delays or non-deliveries.
- You must complete the Channel Ports Authority Form (downloadable below). We will upload this to your Nexus account upon completion - THIS ONLY NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED ONCE BY THE SENDER.
- You need to apply for a GB EORI number and XI EORI number. To request these visit https://www.gov.uk/eori/apply-for-eori
- You need to register your business for the Trader Support Service (TSS) https://www.nicustomstradeacademy.co.uk/pdf/registering-your-business/
NOTE: You cannot apply for TSS until you have your EORI numbers.
What next?
Once you have your GB and EORI numbers and have registered your business for the TSS, you need these final details to hand before you can add your consignment onto MyNexus:
- Your Customer’s GB and XI EORI Numbers
- Your Customers TSS Registration Number
- Description of the goods
- Commercial Invoice
