We are thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for this year's Motor Transport New Talent Development award.
We have been recognised after successfully overcoming the national shortfall in qualified drivers by attracting a new generation from a range of backgrounds and experiences into the profession through our own in-house driver apprenticeship scheme. We've also just earlier this year supported our Class 2 qualified drivers gain their Class 1 licences to help enhance their skills and provide the business with more flexibility.
In addition to this, we're advocates of retaining talent within the business, creating pathways to career progression within our business where we can to help us promote staff retention.
The judging panel for the Motor Transport Awards said: "Moody Logistics has developed its own training programmes for driving and warehouse staff, which have helped with staff retention and avoided the HGV driver shortage issues; fantastic case study that highlighted the work taking place."
We are so proud of our team who have been supportive of the business' growth plans and aspirations; everyone playing their part in helping new starters develop their skills and become a vital member of #TeamMoody.
This is our second consecutive year as a finalist at the Motor Transport Awards - last year Moody's was shortlisted for Apprenticeship of the Year.
The prestigious awards ceremony is due to take place later this year in September - wish us luck!
