Can I send freight during COVID-19?

Yes. Logistics workers were identified as key workers following the UK Government’s lockdown regulations announced on the 23rd March and as such, we continue to operate while working to the governments social distancing and health advice.

As a shareholder member of Pall-Ex Group, we are fully supporting the industry’s status as essential workers. We are working together with Pall-Ex to manage supply chain risk and minimise disruption as we transport essential goods, such as food and medical supplies, through the network.

Is it safe to receive a pallet during COVID-19?

Yes. Public Health England has stated that there is no additional risk of infection for people receiving parcels or pallets during the coronavirus outbreak.

We recommend that anyone sending or receiving a pallet during this time adheres to the Government’s recommendations to wash hands more frequently, and for longer, in order to minimise the spread of any infection.

Moody Logistics and Storage continues to monitor the situation closely and provide guidance to our staff and customers as the situation evolves. Our team is available to speak to though on 01670 710060 should you require additional information or advice at this time.

If you are an NHS contract or ambient food supplier...

Keeping essential supply chains operational is our number one priority as we continue to make NHS deliveries, despite disruption and restrictions caused by COVID-19. We are supporting frontline medical work workers by delivering essential PPE and transporting vital goods to the new NHS Nightingale hospitals, as well as supporting supermarkets with deliveries of products that are in high demand.

We are currently fast-tracking all deliveries for the NHS and food retailers to ensure essential goods reach those who need them. Contact our team directly for support.

Can I send freight to Europe during COVID-19?

Yes, we continue to operate an international delivery service through the pallet network in mainland Europe during COVID-19. The transportation of freight internationally is classed as an essential activity and is therefore not subject to current travel restrictions.

However, travel advice from the Department of Transport is undergoing constant review and may change at short notice.

Freight delivery times in some countries may also face delays due to additional border controls and lockdown measures. The Pall-Ex support team continues to monitor the situation and is keeping its members including Moody Logistics updated as to who may be affected by delays.

Is it safe to receive a pallet from a COVID-19 affected country?

Yes. Road freight transport is classed as an essential activity, so we are still able to bring freight into the UK from other countries affected by COVID-19.

Advice from Public Health England states that there is no additional risk of catching coronavirus from items such as parcels and pallets that have travelled from infected countries.

Can I still set up an account with Moody Logistics during this time?
